Annapurna Royal trek was popularly named the Royal Trek (1800 m) after Prince Charles completed this ridge walk just east of Pokhara.in 1980 . The Royal Trek is highly recommended for those who have never experienced trekking before. It is also suitable for families with children as its path is wide and easy to follow, and does not ascend higher than 2,000 meters. You will walk through rice fields and then ascend to a ridge with magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu & Lamjung Himalayas. You will have an opportunity to explore the villages of the middle hills and to mingle with the ethnic group known as Gurungs who are well known for their bravery.
