Ganjala Pass Trek
Nepal » Trekking » Langtang Region » Ganjala Pass Trek
The Ganjala Pass in the Langtang region is one of the most challenging passes in Nepal. It is situated at an altitude of 5160 m. The trail takes you over this pass as you make your way from Langtang village where the headquarters of Langtang National Park is located. The pass is normally blocked by snow in winter and the last few 100 m trails are dangerous. While descending from the pass on a steep slope for over 1 km requires good care again. But the rest of the trail is easy and comfortable. As there are no lodges and no settlements for three days along the trail, the group should be well equipped with sufficient food. Only organized camping treks are possible for this region. After passing the Ganjala Pass , the trail takes you to Malemchi gaon, Tarke Ghyang and further down to Melamchi Khola and Sundarijal from where we drive back to Kathmandu .
