Eco Trekking

West north of capital Kathmandu as known as Ganesh Himal region . The most isolated and least explores areas in the Nepal Himalayan. Less numbers of foreigner have been visiting this region in the past years. This region is more popular with foreigner now day because of its spectacular views, untouched natural splendor and wild friendly inhabitants.

Ganesh is the name of GOD who has elephant head. Ganesh is known as God of fortune. This mountain can be seen from Kathmandu. The Ganesh Himal region covers mamy peaks over 7000 meters including, Ganesh I 7406m, Ganesh II 7150m, Ganesh III 7110, Ganesh IV 7052, Paldor peak 5928m, and many more peaks stand out like crystal that is the " Great Himalayan Chain" forming the skyline. This Great Himalayan massif is contained between the valley of the Buri Gandaki in the west and Bhote Koshi in the east which is known Trisuli River in the lower section.

Starting from: Betrawati after riding 5 hours drive from Kathmandu
Ending at: Gorkha 5 hrs drive to Kathmandu.
Grade: Moderate to Strenuous.
Highest access of the trek: Singla-la Top (4400m) or Sing-la Top (4600m)
Culture: Mixed ( Brahman, chetris, kami, damai, sarki, gurung, tamangs, magars etc)
Mode of trekking tour: Camping only
Himalayan Sight: Ganesh Himal Range, Langtang Range, Annapurna south etc.
Most Attraction of the trek: Being closer to Ganesh Himal, real Nepalese life observation, and no lodges and off the beaten track

 

Itinerary In Detail

Day 01 : Arrive in Kathmandu check in hotel

Day 02 : Sightseeing in major landmarks in Kathmandu

Day 03 : Kathmandu Betrawati 850m by drive. North of Kathmandu via Tisuli Bazaar (An old shopping center for locals). Camp in the Betrawati out side of the Bazaar.

Day 04 : Betrawati- Kispang 1850m ,( 6 hours walk, enjoy the local agriculture farm and Shal forest)

Day 05 : Kispang- Thulo Chaur 2350m, (Aprx: 5 hours walk, Tamang Culture, villages, school, Monastery, stupa, Agrl farm & waterfall)

Day 06 : Thulo Chaur- Gonga 3000m ( 4 hours walkling through the forest, changes to see none dangerous wild animals)

Day 07 : Gonga- Rupchet 3800m ( The base camp of Singla, 4 hour walking ,enjoying deep Rhododendron and pine forest, non dangerous animals can be seen and the viw of the Langtang range and Tibetan range)

Day 08 : Rupchet- Cherma 2900m ( 7-8 hours, walking up to top of the Singla 4600m, explore to the top early in the morning to see the sunrise over the Himalayas ranges and see the valley)

Day 09 : Cherma-Meyghaun 2300m ( 6 hours, the great view of the mountain, Tamang village, green forest and the Agri farm)

Day 10 : Meyghaun- Salle 1900m ( 5 hours,Nice view of the terrace of the Agri farm, mixture village )

Day 11 : Salle -Khahare 900m ( 5 hours through the different tropical villages. Nice view of the Manaslu and Ankhu valley

Day 12 : Rest day ( Swimming in the river, visiting school & town)

Day 13 : Khahare- Arught ( 5 hours walking , an old market and business center)

Day 14 : Arughat- Khanchok ( 5 hours walking)

Day 15 : Khanchok- Gorkha ( 5 hours, historical place of Modern Nepal)

Day 16 :  Drive back to Kathmandu.
