Pokhara Tourism Authority on cards: Tourism Minister |

Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Sharad Singh Bhandari informed that the government is setting up Pokhara Tourism Authority in Pokhara within two weeks.
Inaugurating the 11th Street Festival organized by REWAN Pokhara here today, Minister Bhandari said discussion and necessary preparation for the establishment of the Tourism Authority is nearing its final.
Minister Bhandari assured that the lack of resources will not hinder the construction of the regional airport in Pokhara.
The government will ensure the connection of Pokhara with Janakpur, Biratnagar, Dhangadhi and India through air service.
He underlined the need for prioritising the development of internal tourism. Moreover, he urged the political parties not to carry out any activities that render negative impacts on tourism sector.
CA Members Rabindra Adhikari and Surya Bahadur KC among other political figures spoke at the programme.
The Festival to be visited by the domestic and foreign tourists is organized to promote art and culture of Pokhara and its vicinity.
