is a traditional route to the Everest Base Camp follows the footprints of Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, who first climbed the Mt. Everest. This Jiri - Everest trek has some different fascinations, one of the foremost is the satisfaction gained by reaching the base of the highest mountain in the world. Other attractions include the spectacular scenery of the Himalayan ranges. There is a tremendous amount of uphill and downhill walking.
Jiri - Everest Base Camp trekking route is less used in the present time because most of the trekkers fly direct to Lukla from Kathmandu which reduces 3 to 4 days trekking route of Everest Base Camp trek in comparison to classical trekking route. Although the warm Sherpa culture, different panoramic views, amazing landscape and less crowded route gives you the lifelong memory using this trekking route.
Normally you will walk about 5-6 hrs a day. You will have plenty of time to stop for refreshments. Our guide will be there to assist you every step of the way during your trek. Your meals will be provided in teahouses according to your choice. Your guide will take your order from the menu and check in the kitchen that everything is fresh and well cooked. For accommodation you will be provided with a double room. Your guide will also act as your interpreter and be able explain about our culture and traditions and any other queries you may have. Our guides are well versed in English and their main duty is to help you in any way at all times. Our porter will be well equipped and insured. We want to you to feel safe and taken care of so that your trek is as enjoyable as possible.
Tourist Visa for visiting Nepal for 30 days can be obtained from the Nepalese Embassy in your country or from the Immigration Counter at Nepal Entry Points (like Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu) on payment of US $ 40.00 (you will also need a passport size photograph).
