This fifteen-day tour is a great introduction into the cultural myths and customs of Nepal and its people. It also provides the freshness and beauty of the nature Nepal is gifted with. Wander around wonderful old cities and towns and indulge yourself in the art and architecture to be found. Relax in the beautiful lake town of Pokhara and marvel at its mountain backdrop with the grand Himalayas towering above. Visit the ancient hill town of Tansen, to take in a more tranquil atmosphere where time moves slowly and the laid back lifestyle is infectious. Walk down the cobbled streets of Tansen’s old bazaar to discover a way of life quite different from Lakeside Pokhara. Travel on to discover the peace and serenity of sacred Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha in 623 B.C. After Lumbini Chitwan National Park awaits you with wildlife experiences like no other. Day 1
Day 01: Arrival Day in Kathmandu

One of our team will meet you at the airport for your transfer to your hotel. We will have a tour briefing, a chance for you to ask any questions.The rest of the day is free to explore the bustling streets of Kathmandu.

Day 2
Day 02 : Kathmandu Sightseeing.

After breakfast we have a good day introducing you to some of the most important sites in broader Kathmandu Pashupatinath Temple-the holiest Hindu Temple and cremation site on the banks of sacred Bagmati River, Bodhanath Stupa-the biggest Buddhist Stupa in the world! and Swayambhunath Stupa-the 2000 years old legendary stupa also nick-named as monkey temple.The day also includes visits to the ancient Kings squares of Kathmandu and Patan.

Day 3
Day 03 : Kathmandu-Gorkha ( 136km, 5 hrs)

After breakfast in the hotel, we take a very scenic drive through rolling hills and along fast flowing rivers to Gorkha -the ancestral seat of the Shah Dynasty Kings and home of the original Gurkha soldiers. After refreshment in the resort, visit the 17th century built Gorkha Palace complex which comprises of a temple, palace and fort. The view of the Manaslu range of mountains from here is simply superb.

Day 4
Day 04 : Gorkha-Pokhara ( 110km, 4 hrs)

After breakfast in the resort, we retrace 23 km to join the Kathmandu-Pokhara highway. The drive offers excellent views of the Himalayas and passes through several roadside bazaars and villages.We Check in to our hotel and after refreshment a boating trip to Barahi Temple situated in the middle of the beautiful large lake is planned.

Day 5
Day 05 : Pokhara

We are up before dawn for the drive to Sarangkot 30 minutes for a stunning sunrise over the Himalayas.Excellent views of Annapurnas, Machhapuchhre and Dhaulagiri. Drive back to your hotel for breakfast. The rest of the day we visit important sites within the Pokhara Valley.

Day 6
Day 06 : Pokhara-Tansen ( 118km, 4 hrs)

After breakfast, we drive to the beautiful hilltop town of Tansen known as the Queen of Hills in Nepal. Midway between Pokhara and the Indian border, Tansen showcases old artistic Newari houses and cobbled streets. Centuries ago, Newar businessmen from Kathmandu arrived in Tansen to trade, bringing with them their art and architecture. Palpa was the seat of the Sen kingdom that ruled over this region from 16th century for almost 300 years. The town is spread out over a ridge with pretty Newar houses lining its cobbled streets. Sreenagar, the popular vantage point over Tansen offers splendid views of the Himalayas

Day 7
Day 07 : Tansen-Lumbini/Bhairahawa ( 65km, 3 hrs)

Today we drive to Lumbini-the birthplace of Lord Buddha. The road winds and switches back through some beautiful scenery. After checking into your hotel for lunch the afternoon is spent visiting the Lumbini Garden. You will visit the temple of Queen Mayadevi Temple and Ashokan pillar that marks the birthplace of Buddha.

Day 08 : Lumbini-Chitwan ( 158km, 4 hrs)

Drive to Chitwan National Park- One of Asia’s best-preserved natural habitats for the great One Horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger and many other endangered species of mammals and, birds. After refreshment, take a short walking tour to the village of Tharu aboriginal people whose lifestyle remains unchanged over the centuries

Day 9
Day 09 : Chitwan Activities

After breakfast, we set out on a dug out canoe along the Rapti River to view the aquatic birds along with the endangered species of crocodile-Gharial. The boat ride lasts around 30 minutes and then it is a visit the Elephant breeding camp, a chance to play with the young elephant babies and learn more about them. A three-hour jungle walk in the afternoon to explore the flora and fauna of the park alongside the elephants

Day 10
Day 10 : Chitwan Activities

AM: Early morning a guided bird watching trip by our experienced and qualified bird guides. The park has over 500 different species of resident and migratory birds and is a haven for bird watchers. Return to hotel for breakfast then rest up. After lunch,a jeep safari is arranged the trail takes you to different habitats like wetlands, grasslands, Sal forest’

Day 11
Day 11 : Drive Chitwan-Daman ( 140km, 5 hrs)

After breakfast at the lodge, we say goodbye to Chitwan for the drive to Daman along the winding and snaking road carved into the hills. Densely forested with Rhododendron flowers In spring, giving the impression that the whole forest is on fire. Daman is situated in at an altitude of 2400m,There is a spectacular mountain vista from here as a large part of the Himalayas is spread out before you. Even Mount Everest on a clear weather day.

Day 12 : Drive Daman-Kathmandu ( 96 km, 3 hrs)

We are up early morning for the most beautiful sunrise view from the observatory after breakfast, we continue our journey back to our hotel in Kathmandu.The rest of the day is free.

Day 13 : Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing

Sightseeing around the Kathmandu Valley before travelling on to the ancient township of Bhaktapur-one of the original capitals of the Malla Kings of Nepal. The town is a testimony of preservation of ancient and mediaeval arts and architecture.

Day 14
Day 14 : Excursion to Dhulikhel and Nammo Buddha

Today we visit Dhilikhel

Dhulikhel was once known by the Buddhist name of Shrikhandapur and still has a few Buddhist stupas in memory of the old days. Namo Buddha is an interesting and pleasant three-hour hike from the town, and has a nice mix of Buddhist flavor and old Hindu temples. Dhulikhel also has several ancient temples dedicated to Sweta Bhairava, Hari Siddhi, devistan, Shiva, and Narayana, Returning to Kathmandu early evening.

What gear should I bring from home?

You can buy virtually everything you need from warm jackets to water bottles in Kathmandu. There is a variety of branded stores. There is also a large selection of copied products mainly in Thamel that are of fairly good quality.

When’s the best time to visit Nepal?

The main seasons for trekking are the spring (Mar to May) and autumn (Sep to Nov) when you’ll have clear skies and superb mountain views. The winter (Dec to Feb) is also a great time to visit— these months offer a unique experience and fewer crowds but lower altitude treks are better at this time of year as its cold at night.

What’s the difference between private and group tours?

Private tours are tailor-made itineraries built by us around your travel dates and personal interests, whereas group trips are pre-packaged and depart on specific dates. Group trips are also open for others to join, whereas private trips are just for you. You will find a list of fixed departure dates on our website.

How do I get my visa for Nepal?

For most nationalities visa can be obtained on arrival in Kathmandu. It takes around 45 minutes and is the most convenient way to get your visa you will need passport size photos.. You can also apply for a visa in advance from a local Nepali consulate in your country if you’d like to have everything arranged in advance. Are there any extra expenses not included in my tour price?

Personal expenses (tips, soft drinks, bar bills, laundry, telephone calls, donations, and extra snacks, etc) are not included in your tour price. When checking a particular trek page on our website we have clearly stated what is and what is not included. If you’re going trekking, the only things you’ll need to pay for out of pocket are wifi and battery charging (when available), extra meals outside of what’s included, alcohol, and soft drinks and perhaps hot.

What Transport do we use?

Private four by four modern Jeeps with Air Conditioning.

Where can I store my extra luggage during the tour?

You can leave your additional luggage at your hotel in Kathmandu or at our company office in Thamel. Either way, your luggage will be waiting for you at your hotel when you return back from your trek. 

How much should I tip the guide and staff?

Tipping is not required but is expected, and really depends on how happy you were with the service. Guides (both for trekking and cultural tours), porters, and drivers are typically provided with a tip at the end of their service with you.
