The Langtang Helicopter Tour is the shortest helicopter flight in Nepal to be among the mountains and touch the snow from Kathmandu. The flight takes around half an hour to reach Kyanjin Gompa to land in the heart of the mighty Himalayas. You fly over Langtang National Park for some great views close views of mountain villages, dramatic landscapes, and the lofty peaks.
The Langtang heli tour is considered to be one of the most scenic aerial flights to explore the Himalayas near to Kathmandu. The tour starts from Kathmandu as we head North chasing the Langtang range to enjoy the splendor of the mountain scenery. As you enter The Langtang National Park there is a dramatic contrast in landscape, geography, vegetation, as we enter mountainous terrain. The flight lands at Kyanjin Gompa (3,950m), a Tibetan culture influenced village embellished with spectacular scenery, ancient monasteries, and beautiful mountain views. The striking views of great peaks like Ganesh Himal (7,407m), Langtang Lirung (7,246m), Dorje Lapka (6,975m) in all their splendor are there to greet us. On the return journey, we hover over the Sacred Lakes of Gosaikunda a famous Hindu pilgrimage site. A spectacular journey of sheer pleasure in total which last for around one and a half hours.
