Muktinath Heli Tour

This flight provides a wonderful opportunity to experience the stark, barren landscapes of Lower Mustang dotted with Tibetan Buddhist culture and visit the sacred temple of  Muktinath. You fly high above the beautiful and scenic valleys with the massive snow peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri and many others keeping you company on the way. While in Muktinath, there is half an hour to perform holy pujas and take a bath before flying back to Pokhara. The temple is a famous destination of both Hindu and Buddhist people situated at an altitude of 3800 meters. It lies at the foot of Thorong-La pass of Annapurna Himalayas. Muktinath is known as the God of salvation who holds great significance for both Hindus and Buddhists. It is shared in harmony by devotees of these two religions. Thousands of devotees visit and take bath at the 108 holy taps (Muktidhara) and deep in Mukti Kunda. Muktinath is believed to be linked to Lord Vishnu by Hindu people and the place of Padmasambhava by Buddhists. In the Buddhist tradition, Guru Rinpoche; the founder of Tibetan Buddhism meditated at Muktinath on his way to Tibet. There is an old Buddhist monk present at the temple. Muktinath also provides beautiful panoramic Himalayan views.

This is a great break from either Kathmandu or Pokhara, taking you into a totally different landscape spend time soaking up the atmosphere.
